Hello beautiful people- thanks for being here. I am Leigh Elizabeth Patton~Smith
I am a life alchemist, a joy seeker, wonder junkie, life-student, transpersonal heART teacher, group facilitator, therapist, an artist, a dreamer, a mentor, manifesting- generator & an aspiring astrologist!
I chose to come into form, and was born and raised in Oklahoma. I studied art and psychology at Western State University of Colorado. I have a huge passion for Waldorf education and Anthroposophy. I studied at Rudolf Steiner College. I graduated from Southwestern College, with a Master's in Art Therapy and Counseling. I believe in a holistic approach to my work as a teacher, art therapist, group facilitator, and counselor. I have worked in the classroom for over a decade and I have over 20 years of experience with children and adolescents. I love working with adults too! I LOVE group work and sitting in circle. Ceremony, art, nature based rituals are foundational aspects of my group work.. I have deep passion work with sacred rites of passage, coming of age and working with the seasons within and around us. There is a growing movement in pursuit of healing the wounds on menstrual shame. This shame goes back and I cannot wait to hold space for more group work in the future.
I am currently teaching at Back to Earth school where I teach art and handwork to the 1st thru 3rd grade and with the forest school kiddos. I also host and Waldorf based parent and child playgroup weekly at Back to Earth school. I ran Coming of Age groups for young ladies back in New Mexico and beyond thrilled to be starting them again in Oklahoma City.
